NC State Football: Randy Moss’ son Thaddeus Moss commits to Wolfpack

The NC State Wolfpack picked up a commitment from Thaddeus Moss who is the son of former NFL superstar, Randy Moss.

NC State received the verbal commitment from three-star tight end Thaddeus Moss (Charlotte, N.C. Mallard Creek) and the Wolfpack are hopeful he can be half the player his famous dad was. Thaddeus is the son of former Marshall wide receiver and Heisman finalist and future NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss.

Thaddeus is the nation’s 393 overall recruit, No. 18 tight end and the No. 17 ranked recruit in the state of North Carolina, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The 6-3, 240-pound tight end took official visits to Georgia, UCLA, Texas A&M and USC. He took his official visit to Raleigh this weekend and shared a picture from the NC State-Duke basketball game to his Twitter account where he announced his commitment.

Moss is the third-highest ranked recruit on the board for NC State head coach Dave Doeren, behind defensive tackle Shug Frazier and athlete Isaiah Stallings. With the commitment of Moss, NC State now has the nation’s No. 49 overall class and the No. 9 class in the ACC.

Needless to say, he has a pedigree worth investing in and if he can showcase some of the same athletic feats on the football field as his famous football father, the Wolfpack will be getting themselves a nice diamond in the rough who could develop into an All-ACC tight end in a few years.
