Another four-star recruit is coming to play for the Ohio State football team after receiving Jordan Fuller’s verbal commitment on Monday evening.

Four-star athlete Jordan Fuller Westwood, N.J. Old Tappan) committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Monday as Urban Meyer adds to the nation’s No. 2 ranked recruiting class.

Fuller is the nation’s No. 130 overall recruit, No. 6 athlete and the No. 4 athlete in New Jersey, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He picked the Buckeyes over offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State and UCLA where his brother Fuller’s older brother Devin Fuller is a receiver.

Fuller made his decision public in a video posted to his Twitter account.

The 6-2, 190-pound athlete is expected to play in the defensive backfield for the Buckeyes. He could play safety or cornerback and probably will end up playing all over the secondary until the coaches determine where he’s the best fit, or at least, where he can fill the biggest need initially.

Fuller, a U.S. Army All-American, is the third cornerback in the class and the top-ranked one at that. His announcement came moments after Ohio State target and four-star cornerback Damar Hamlin committed to the Pittsburgh Panthers.

His commitment wasn’t enough to move Ohio State past the LSU Tigers who seemingly have a stranglehold on the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class this year. Ohio State is still alive depending on how things play out on National Signing Day on Wednesday, but even in a worst-case scenario, they should have a top-five class.
