One Florida State football fan had quite the conversation starter at his wedding with a Jameis Winston crab legs cake.

No matter what Jameis Winston does in the NFL or how much time passes, no one is going to forget his infamous crab legs incident in 2014 when he was cited for stealing $32 worth of crab legs at a Tallahassee Publix.

The Heisman winner was ordered to perform community service but faced a greater punishment from the public (and rival FSU fans) who ridiculed him for such a silly offense. Winston later said during an episode of Draft Academy that aired on ESPN he was hooked up with the crab legs and he didn’t steal them.

Publix denied his statements and said there was no arrangement for Winston or other Florida State players to receive free merchandise.

Nevertheless, Winston and crab legs will forever be linked and one Florida State fan made sure to make that a part of his wedding. The groom had a Winston crab leg cake for his groom’s cake, which was sure to be a fun topic of conversation at the wedding reception.

One can only hope there were a few people in attendance at the wedding who took the cake as an opportunity for some good-natured ribbing and trolling.

But it was a celebration after all, so it’s cool to see a Florida State fan have some fun with an incident that didn’t do anything to put Winston in a positive light after he won the Heisman and led the Noles to a national championship as a redshirt freshman.

Winston didn’t let the crab legs incident hurt him as he led the Noles to the ACC title the next season and earned a berth in the first College Football Playoff and was the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Winston posted stellar numbers as a rookie with more than 4,000 passing yards and 22 touchdowns. He looks every bit the part of a franchise quarterback.
