Derek Mason’s team kicks things off as they look to compete for a bowl berth in his third season in Nashville and Bret Bielema’s Arkansas Razorbacks end spring football in the SEC with the Hogs playing on April 23.
In between the beginning and the end, plenty of intriguing storylines exist, including the beginning of the repeat bid for Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. After winning the national championship last year, the Tide are looking for a quarterback to replace Jake Coker with Cooper Bateman and Blake Barnett the two primary competitors.
There’s also the new head coaches taking over at Georgia (Kirby Smart), Missouri (Barry Odom) and South Carolina (Will Muschamp) who will get their first glimpse of how close or how far they are from competing for SEC East division titles.
