Things continue to spiral out of control for former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel.

If getting released by the Cleveland Browns and having your NFL career in serious jeopardy wasn’t the wake-up call that former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel needed, then he may never get it.

Manziel and his friends trashed a $4.5 million house they rented and did $32,000 worth in damages.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg for Manziel, according to the New York Post‘s Emily Smith who reports Manziel and a friend rented a West Hollywood house last week and threw two “all-night ragers” and left drugs and alcohol all over the property.

According to Page Six, “It’s claimed Manziel and his group left the house strewn with booze and drugs, broke an expensive glass table and a bathroom door, and left wine stains and cigarette burns on carpets.”

Nicholas Goodwin rented the house to Manziel and his attorney has written a letter to the former Heisman winner’s reps saying, “Mr. Manziel threw large parties on both nights, causing extensive damage … Evidence suggests [Manziel] and his guests were consuming drugs and alcohol … and that they caused a disturbance to the neighborhood.”

That’s not exactly the type of environment you would expect a person who did a stint in rehab last offseason and is fighting for his NFL career.

Earlier this week his new agent Drew Rosenhaus told Manziel he needs to seek treatment or he’ll have to find a new agent. I’m not sure Manziel cares at this point and his self-destructive behavior is going to see him in jail or worse.

Goodwin tells to Page Six he returned to the house and found a passed out Manziel on the couch at 2 p.m., two hours after he was supposed to check out. He said there was cocaine all over the table in the kitchen and mushrooms on the table in front of Manziel.

“There was booze everywhere, broken glasses over the floor and a Champagne glass in a tree. If they don’t respond to our demand for compensation, we will sue.”

I have a sinking feeling there is going to be a sad ending to this story and I’m wondering where the Manziel family is while Johnny’s life is spiraling out of control.
