Alabama coach Lane Kiffin trolls Auburn (Photo)
Alabama coach Lane Kiffin trolled rival Auburn on Twitter.
The Alabama Crimson Tide have had their way with the rival Auburn Tigers the last two years. That time frame coincides with the arrival of offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin who has made a big impact on the offense Nick Saban’s team runs.
Kiffin was able to turn Blake Sims into one of the top quarterbacks in the SEC two seasons ago despite zero starting experience. Further, he turned Amari Cooper into arguably the greatest receiver in the illustrious history of Alabama football and has the Biletnikoff Award to show for it.
The following year, Kiffin coached up Jake Coker enough that he went from forgotten man to playing his best games of his college career vs. Michigan State in the College Football Playoff semifinal and vs. Clemson in the championship game. He also helped Derrick Henry win the Heisman Trophy.

All that adds up to Kiffin being one confident son of a gun and he didn’t want to let an opportunity pass him by when he was on the road near Auburn University on Saturday.
No words from Kiffin, just a reminder that Alabama beat Auburn 29-13 last year and the 55-19 score is from USC beating Oklahoma to win the national title in 2004 when an undefeated Auburn team was left out by the BCS.
As you can see, the tweet gained a lot of traction on twitter since he posted it early Saturday evening and you can bet folks in Tuscaloosa are loving the braggadocious Kiffin being on their staff.
The trolling of Auburn comes one day after Kiffin trolled the Tide’s other rival, Tennessee, with a similar photo.
Two years ago the hiring of Kiffin looked like a puzzling fit considering his personality and how it would mesh with Saban.

However, history has shown, Saban is pretty good at this whole coaching thing and his hire of Kiffin has resulted in a perfect 2-0 record vs. rival Auburn, two SEC championships, two trips to the College Football Playoff, one Biletnikoff, one Heisman and one national title.
Keep trolling, Lane.
