The Mississippi State Bulldogs said goodbye to quarterback Dak Prescott with a beautiful tribute.

Dak Prescott is the best player in the history of Mississippi State football. The star quarterback began to build his legacy in Starkville when an injured Prescott came off the sidelines to lead the Bulldogs to a thrilling win over the rival Ole Miss Rebels in the Egg Bowl three seasons ago.

Two seasons ago, Prescott helped guide the team to three straight wins over top-10 opponents (at LSU, Texas A&M, Auburn) to move up to the No. 1 spot in the AP top 25 poll for the first time in program history. The Bulldogs finished with 10 wins and played in the Orange Bowl.

Prescott’s senior season didn’t see the same overall team success, but he was every bit as dominant as he was the year prior.

On the eve of the NFL Draft, Mississippi State paid tribute to Prescott with an incredible video featuring, among others, his old head coach Dan Mullen.

If you’re a fan of Mississippi State, let me send you a virtual tissue, because this is an emotional tribute to the player who has overcome a lot during his time in Starkville. Prescott lost his mother to cancer during his time at Mississippi State and had the support of the entire university and community.

He’s a member of the Hail State forever and no matter where he gets drafted, he will always be a Bulldog.

Prescott is projected as a mid-round prospect and has drawn the interest from the Dallas Cowboys who could take him with their pick at the top of the second round.
