Watch Tom Brokaw troll Alabama at Ole Miss graduation (Video)

Ole Miss fans got a big laugh from anchorman Tom Brokaw during his commencement speech on Saturday that included a nice trolling of Alabama.

Graduation ceremonies took place this morning at Ole Miss where students walked across the stage to get their diplomas after four (or more) years of hard work. An estimated crowd of 13,000 were on hand to hear Tom Brokaw deliver the commencement speech to the new graduates entering the real world.

Little did they know Brokaw had some jokes to deliver, which included a playful ribbing of Alabama.

The Ole Miss football team has two straight wins over the Alabama Crimson Tide and Brokaw was in attendance for the game in 2014, but who would have expected Brokaw to troll the fellow SEC school in Tuscaloosa?

“If I was speaking at Alabama’s commencement, I’d have to use smaller words and shorter sentences,” Brokaw said to cheers and laughter in The Grove, via Adam Ganucheau.

And thanks to Busted College there is video evidence of Brokaw delivering the trolling with the same gravitas he displayed for decades as one of America’s most trusted newsman.

This is all in good fun and for the graduating students and their friends and family who were in attendance for this memorable day, they added another memory they’ll never forget with Tom freaking Brokaw trolling Alabama.
