Louisville’s James Quick Makes Catch with Knees vs. Florida State
By Tyler Brooke
Louisville Cardinals wide receiver James Quick made a fantastic catch with his knees during Saturday’s game against the Florida State Seminoles.
Arguably the biggest game of college football heading into Saturday was between the No. 2 Florida State Seminoles and No. 10 Louisville Cardinals. However, the game wasn’t too intense with the Cardinals making plays up and down the field in the first half.
Heisman Trophy front runner and Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson was helping the Cardinals offense with all kinds of big plays. Jackson wasn’t the only one, either. Late in the first half, Jackson threw a pass to receiver James Quick that looked like it was going to be interception.
The Seminoles defender was able to get a piece of the ball, but Quick was somehow able to make the catch with his knees. Quick then grabbed the ball and took off for a huge 44-yard gain that set up Jackson’s fourth touchdown of the game. You can check out the amazing catch in the video and photo below.
The Cardinals took a dominant 35-10 lead into the locker room at halftime. However, they weren’t satisfied with that lead after seeing the Ole Miss Rebels lose a similar lead to Florida State in the season opener.

Still, Louisville is looking like a legitimate contender in the ACC thanks to the efforts of Jackson. A win over the Seminoles would help solidify the Cardinals as a potential College Football Playoff team. They still have games against Clemson and Houston this season, but Cardinals fans are starting to think that this team might have a chance to bring home a national championship.
