Florida State Seminoles (No. 2 to No. 13)

The Florida State Seminoles looked shell shocked in Week 3 on defense without safety Derwin James. Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson ran all over the Seminoles for 156 yards and four rushing touchdowns and it wasn’t even close.

The Florida State Seminoles enter this week as an AP Poll loser after dropping 11 spots.

The Seminoles have some work to do after entering the season as a College Football Playoff favorite. Running back Dalvin Cook is off to a rough start.

The Louisville defense held Cook to just 54 rushing yards on 16 carries in their 63-20 victory. It was the worst loss in Florida State history.

Cook has just 228 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the season.

The Seminoles offensive line didn’t do a good job of protecting quarterback Deondre Francois either. Francois was sacked five times while only completing 38.9 percent of his passes. He was 7 for 18 with 101 passing yards, a passing touchdown and an interception.

Whats Next?

The Seminoles travel to South Florida in Week 4 and it may be a game where we see a more energized Florida State team. The Seminoles are 2-1 all time against the Bulls. They won their last meeting 34-14 in 2015.
