Once again, Lamar Jackson tops our list of Heisman candidates after Week 5. The sophomore dual-threat quarterback has been a monster through five weeks and he remains No. 1 despite losing to Clemson on the road.

Clemson and Louisville had quite the battle in Death Valley which resulted in a 42-36 home victory for the Tigers. Jackson still had a solid game, passing for 295 yards and a touchdown while rushing for another two touchdowns with 162 yards.

Jackson has been a touchdown machine this season and for that reason, he has to be No. 1 on the list. As long as the Cardinals stay in the playoff race by not losing any more games, Jackson will be one of the top Heisman contenders on the season.

Luckily for Louisville, the two toughest ACC opponents on the schedule are already out of the way — Florida State and Clemson — and it finished with a 1-1 record in those contests.

On the season, Jackson has passed for 1,625 yards and 14 touchdowns and has 688 rushing yards and 14 more scores. Unreal numbers.
