R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Live Stream: Watch Southern Mississippi vs ULL Online
The Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles and the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajun’s meet in New Orleans for the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Here is how to watch the game online.
Southern Miss began their season with an upset over the Kentucky Wildcats, but success was hard to come by on a consistent basis for the Golden Eagles throughout 2016. Southern Miss was competitive in most of its losses but couldn’t find a way to get a close victory. The Golden Eagles became bowl eligible in their last game of the year against Louisiana Tech. Southern Miss will be led by quarterback Nick Mullens, the schools all time leading passer. Mullens is one of the top quarterbacks in the country and will look to end his collegiate career on a high mark.
Louisiana-Lafayette won its final two games of the season to get in to the New Orleans Bowl, and will look to continue their hot win streak against Southern Miss. The Ragin Cajuns finished 5-3 in the Sun Belt Conference and have a balanced offense and are lead by their star running back, Elijah McGuire. McGuire will finish his career at ULL in the bowl game and is the second Ragin Cajun to rush for over 4,000 yards in a career. The Ragin Cajuns are no stranger to the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, as this will be their fifth appearance in the bowl game in the last six seasons.

Prediction:
This matchup presents two teams that have the ability to score points in bunches and have playmakers on offense. Both teams defenses’ do have a tendency to disappear but they will have to show up in the bowl game if either team is going to get ahead of the other. With that said, Southern Miss has a much better quarterback, and quarterbacks tend to win games, expect the Golden Eagles to come out on top.
