This might be the most obvious choice of all the players on this list. Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson put up video game type numbers, especially at the beginning of the year, in 2016. Anybody who notched 51 total touchdowns and more than 5,100 total yards in one single season deserves to be a first overall pick in a Fantasy Football league.

There’s a chance that Jackson could be even better in 2017. He added some weight and seems to be stronger than he was in 2016. If that translates to the mental part of his game as well, then Jackson will be a real force to be reckoned with.

Jackson’s pedigree entering 2017 is comparable to Cam Newton’s entering the 2016 NFL season. Both quarterbacks are tremendously athletic with dual threat versatility. Newton does have a different build and skill set than that of Jackson, but both situations held similar statistical value.

Jackson won the Heisman Trophy in 2016 and Newton was the NFL MVP in 2015. He would be the obvious option at quarterback.
