Big 12 Football 2017: 5 teams on upset alert in Week 3
Both Kansas State and the Vanderbilt Commodores have yet to play a quality opponent this year. Maybe the best victory for either team out of their combined four victories was a Vandy win over the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders in Week 1.

Vanderbilt has a rushing attack, led by Ralph Webb, that is just waiting to break out. Webb has just 103 rushing yards through the first two weeks and could have a huge game this week. The Kansas State run defense could still be a little bit rusty since they haven’t faced a really good ground game yet.
Surprisingly enough, the Vandy passing attack is what carried the offense so far. Quarterback Kyle Shurmur is having a breakout season of his own. Shurmur has thrown for nearly 500 yards and amassed eight total touchdowns.
This is a good Vanderbilt team that could upset some teams in the SEC East this year. Kansas State needs to be careful and make sure they aren’t one of Vandy’s victims along the way.
