Tennessee vs Florida: Game preview, prediction and live stream
The Tennessee Volunteers face the Florida Gators in Week 3 with the SEC bragging rights on the line. Here’s all you need to know about the game.
The 23rd-ranked Tennessee football team travels to Gainesville this week to face the 24th-ranked Florida Gators. It is both team’s conference opener.
The Volunteers moved up two spots in the AP Poll after defeating the Indiana State Sycamores last week, 42-7. Running back Ty Chandler opened the game with a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Quarterback Quinten Dormady went 13-of-18 for 194 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Running back John Kelly had 18 carries for 80 rushing yards.
Tennessee got a much better performance from the defense as well. They only allowed 122 rushing yards to the Sycamores last week.
The Florida Gators were off last week due to Hurricane Irma, but it looks like their game this weekend against the Volunteers will go as planned. With the extra time off, the Gators look to have shaken off the cobwebs that stalled their offense in their season-opening 33-17 loss to the Michigan Wolverines.
There’s also the potential return of the 10 players suspended for that game as well. A majority of them were expected to be key contributors.

Keys to victory
The Tennessee Volunteers football team is 2-0, it could be worse considering how their season opener against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets went. The loss of wide receiver Juauan Jennings seems to have welcomed the emergence of Marquez Callaway in the passing game.
If Callaway can get going and frustrate the Gators secondary, look for the Volunteers football team to start things off at 1-0 in SEC play.
Prediction
On the bright side, the Gators have won their last 12 conference openers. Last season’s 38-28 by the Volunteers football team snapped an 11-game losing streak dating back to 2005. Let’s see if Tennessee football can break that streak this time around.

The Volunteers don’t have as many issues on offense as the Gators do, at least through two weeks anyways. It should be a close game but despite the home-field advantage, Tennessee football has the confidence going in.
Final Score: Tennessee 27, Florida 21
