1. The SEC East is really hard to figure out

We expected much of the same from the SEC East in 2017 that was expected in 2016. Florida, Tennessee, and the Georgia Bulldogs are likely to be the three teams that contend for the division title. Right now, Florida and Georgia are the clear favorites.

After Tennessee’s win over Georgia Tech and Florida’s loss to Michigan, some people called the Gators into question even though they’ve won back-to-back division titles. The talent of the Florida defense reigned supreme.

Other teams that could contend for the SEC East include the Vanderbilt Commodores and South Carolina Gamecocks. Barring two down years, South Carolina has been and could still be a real player at the top of the SEC standings.

More than anything, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens with the top three teams in the division. Florida will try to upend Georgia again for the ability to play in the SEC Championship Game for third consecutive season.
