After falling behind 21-7, Texas A&M football remained calm and pulled within four points of Arkansas with a Trayveon Williams touchdown.
Just minutes after Kellen Mond was robbed of an 80-yard touchdown run, getting incorrectly ruled out at the 10-yard line by referees in an un-reviewable play, Texas A&M football scored a clutch touchdown with two minutes to go before the half against Arkansas.
Mond couldn’t get the Aggies into the touchdown after being ruled out at the 10, but his long run led them to a field goal, pulling them within 11 points.
Just minutes later, the Aggies recorded a crucial sack to forced a punt on fourth down and Mond tossed up a 50-50 ball to Damion Ratley for 50 yards to give Texas A&M solid field position. The Aggies needed a score right before the half and they got just that.
Texas A&M got the ball down to the red zone and relied on its durable running back, Trayveon Williams, to get the 18-yard touchdown run.

This was a huge score for the Aggies as Arkansas would just run out the clock to finish the first half to head to the locker room with a 21-17 lead. The young Aggies showed poise after getting behind big early on and the momentum was definitely in their favor with 30 minutes remaining.

Despite receiving criticism to this point in the season, Mond has looked solid in the first half. He’s passed for 160 yards and an 81-yard touchdown pass to Christian Kirk. He also rushed for 80 yards on four carries.
