After starting the season with a 2-3 record Ole Miss football is looking for a new head coach on their official website. Maybe I could fill the role?

After the resignation of former head coach Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss has been bad, but who knew they were subtweeting their current head coach bad.

After losing the Rebels’ Week 6 game against SEC rivals Auburn by a score of 44-23, apparently things got desperate in Oxford, Mississippi. So desperate, in fact, that they posted a public job listing for a new head football coach on the school’s official job board.

Yes, you read that right.

So now while applying for a job as a Painter, or as a Custodian (Temporary), you can also throw your hat into the ring for a spot leading an NCAA FBS football program. Which got me thinking, writing about football is fun, so actually coaching a team in real life would be the next logical step, right?

I mean I’ve never actually coached anyone at literally anything before, but I typically go undefeated when I play career mode on Madden, while running a pretty sophisticated Air Raid offense, so maybe I’m the perfect man for the job. And hey, since I’d only be required to work “Monday — Friday (some evenings and week-ends).” I wouldn’t even have to quit my job here at FanSided.

I know it may be a long shot, but really what’s more unbelievable, that the school would create an online job listing for the NCAA FBS college football head coaching job vacancy mid-season, or me actually applying for the job?
