Stanford Football: 3 bold predictions against Oregon
Stanford football‘s star running back, Bryce Love, will look to continue his dominance over the Pac-12 against Oregon. Here are three bold predictions for the game.
Stanford’s Bryce Love has already eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing, nine touchdowns, and is averaging 10.5 yards per carry. 10.5 yards per carry is unreal. Stanford and Oregon are both 4-2 right now. The Cardinal are currently 18th on the S&P+ while the Ducks are 22nd on Bill Connelly rankings. David Shaw is still trying to settle on a quarterback- KJ Costello or Keller Chryst it doesn’t matter, neither is passing for over eight yards per attempt.
The Ducks continue their post-Herbert phase while his collarbone heals. Luckily Royce Freeman is feeling better although the receiving corps is banged up now too. Oregon needs to rely on the running game, however none are at Love level of 10.5 yards per carry. The Ducks will need to rely on the hot-hand running back of the day and their ever improving defense under Jim Leavitt.
Both programs could use the win to stay afloat in the Pac-12. A conference championship might be out of reach, but neither program wants the 2017 to slide further sideways this early in the campaign. Here are three bold predictions for the game.
