Ole Miss Football: 3 bold predictions vs. LSU in the 2017 Magnolia Bowl
By Shelbie Warr
3. Derrius Guice runs for 200 and two touchdowns
It is no secret that the Rebels have struggled this season on defense, especially against the run. They have given up an average of 240 yards on the ground per game as well as 210 through the air. On Saturday night they face the guy shown in the video below, the one who dragged a 300 pound defensive tackle for a gain. Derrius Guice.
Guice hasn’t been the lead rusher in the SEC this season. Heck, he isn’t even in the top five as many expected he would be. However, he is still a competitor and has been a big part of LSU’s offense so far this season. I expect that going against a weak rushing defense, the Tigers will lean on Guice a little more than normal, allowing his numbers to grow exponentially.
My bold prediction for Derrius Guice is over 200 yards and at least two touchdowns against the Rebels on Saturday night. Of course, Ole Miss hopes that his numbers aren’t anywhere near that, but all signs point to it.
