5. Home-field advantage is on Notre Dame’s side

NC State holds a 2-0 edge over Notre Dame in the overall series, but this game is different than those two. This game is at Notre Dame Stadium. The atmosphere at Notre Dame right now is electric, especially after the big win against USC a week ago. Fans are excited about this team and that will show come Saturday afternoon. Just a look at social media will tell you that much.

A quick, strong start will ignite the crowd in South Bend and that will play a large part in the outcome of the game. Notre Dame has only lost one game this season, by all of one point. The other three games they have hosted have been victories for the Irish by more than 20 points.

These fans are fired up, and rightfully so. They will show up strong and loud on Saturday and it will make a difference. It’s not easy to win games in South Bend, especially when the lights come on. Expect NC State to play shaky as this is the Wolfpack’s toughest test yet.
