College GameDay is in Columbus again for Penn vs. Ohio State. Let’s see how the Buckeyes’ fanbase did with their College GameDay signs.

Columbus is no stranger to the pressure of making the perfect College GameDay signs. The most famous pregame show in sports has been to the Ohio State campus a record 17 times. However, they have some strong competition to live up to. Penn State put in possibly the best week of signs so far this season. Can the Buckeyes exceed their Week 2 performance and beat Penn State on and off the field this week?

This is Ohio State’s 40th time being featured on College GameDay and third just this season. That number ties them with Alabama for most all-time. Penn State has been showcased for back-to-back weeks and 18 times overall.

This is definitely not Ohio State’s best showing at a GameDay. No one can really blame them though. They have already had the show once this year, and the conditions are dreadful. Fans who did decide to roll out of bed this early in the morning are dealing with temperatures in the 30s and rain and snow.

The GameDay living background was dominated by some colors and signs you wouldn’t expect. If you were flipping on a broadcast from Columbus, you would expect to see the scarlet and gray, Home Depot orange, and white of the customary posterboard signs. You might even expect to see some navy for Penn State. Instead, the TV was filled with a blinding yellow for Columbus’ other team. The Columbus Crew are the city’s MLS team and are reportedly leaving for Austin.  Fans decided this was a good national platform to try and keep them from being the latest professional sports franchise to bolt to greener pastures.
