1. So, we’ve got us some College Football Playoff chaos

The first playoff rankings come out on Halloween but you don’t have to wait too long to have nightmares or strange thoughts about what is going to happen on Tuesday. After TCU and Penn State went down, that opened up two spots in the top four just days before the first ranking comes out.

So, who deserves to be in the top four along with Alabama and Georgia?

The team who is making the loudest noise right now is Ohio State who’s comeback win over Penn State is one of the biggest stories of the weekend. While they can make their case, Oklahoma can say they belong because they slapped around Ohio State over a month ago. Does the committee bypass the fact that OU beat the Buckeyes handily and look at the loss to Iowa State as cause to push the Buckeyes ahead of the Sooners?

Then there are the other one-loss teams like Clemson, Washington, Oklahoma State and Notre Dame. How easily can you tell these teams apart with the lingering number one in the loss column? Also, Wisconsin and Miami are sitting back wondering just who will start showing them respect and when?

The best part about all of this is that it will all work itself out in the end but for the next month, college football is going to be one giant rollercoaster that stretches from Seattle to Columbus all the way down to Tuscaloosa.
