This is not just another game for LSU and Coach Ed Orgeron. This Saturday is a chance of a lifetime for the head ball coach to start his legacy.

No one can explain what this game means outside the state of Louisiana. No doubt, that this game signifies the good vs evil. There is no need for extra motivational talks for this upcoming weekend.

When the Alabama game is coming up to be played, there’s plenty of reminders there from Baton Rouge to Cutoff, LA. Coach Ed Orgeron understands what it means to be an LSU fan and a native. Coach O gets it.

“We’re getting on that plane to win the football game. That’s our attitude.”

Of course, there’s no doubt that LSU football needs a signature win. Additionally, this is an opportunity for Orgeron, and he’s earned it. And there’s nothing more that Coach O wants than a win against rival Alabama.

Be that as it may, there may be something driving him more than anything: failureSome people may find this hard to understand but make no mistakes. Coach O’s past failures may be the reason that LSU wins this game.

Coach Orgeron is fully aware of the losing streak and what’s at stake here this Saturday. Failure can be looked at as falling short of your goal. Obviously, there is no coach in the world that strives for failure. But don’t underestimate the power of using that experience and loss as motivation.

The sick feeling of losing can be a reminder of what got you there. The human nature of going through some bumps in the roads can lead men to overcome any adversity. Coach Orgeron has lived through it, gotten his second chance, and is now ready to harness that for the now.

Remember Coach O wasn’t exacly the first choice when this coaching search began. Still, there’s plenty of doubters out there for sure. But getting a win in Tuscaloosa would take care of everything. Louisiana State University is primed and prepared to win this game. And Coach O has all the tools ready to go to battle.
