1. Gordon on this year’s Wisconsin team

Q: Have you watched this year’s Badgers team a lot? What are your thoughts on the first College Football Playoff rankings?

Gordon: Yeah, I’ve been watching them for sure. Defense is amazing. I was upset about the playoff rankings. I was about to go on a rant on Twitter, but I am just like I got to slow down. We can’t do anything about the schedule. It’s not like we set the schedule this year, it was made years in advance so there’s nothing we can do. It is something they get punished for, but at the end of the day they are still undefeated. If they win out, they will see either Penn State or Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship. If they beat them and get that title, which will hold weight, obviously one of those teams will be ranked. I think that will put them in the top four with an undefeated record.

Q: What gives the Badgers a chance to knock off a team like Penn State or Ohio State?

Gordon: The defense. We have a great running back who is banged up, so he needs to get healthy. I think the difference maker is Alex Hornibrook. I feel like if he comes out and does what he needs to do, I feel like we can win the game.

Q: Describe freshman running back Jonathan Taylor in three words or less.

Gordon: Electric.

Q: Which other college football players have been most exciting to watch in your opinion?

Gordon: I haven’t been able to watch outside of Wisconsin a lot, but definitely Saquon Barkley (Penn State) and Stanford’s Bryce Love. Barkley gets more coverage than anyone at the moment, Love is very under-the-radar, but both are exciting to watch.

Q: What do you miss most about playing college football?

Gordon: Being around my teammates. Traveling with them, doing games and movie nights; stuff like that. I miss that, being with those guys, it was always a good time. It’s not like any different now, but it’s a little different. Four years with those guys starting with nothing and growing into something, I really enjoyed my teammates when I was at Wisconsin and I think that is what I missed most. Oh, and the fans. ‘Jump Around’ is crazy.

Q: With the College Football Playoff talks going around and a lot of Wisconsin fans ranked with their No. 9 place in the polls, if you had one message to tell the football team what would it be?

Gordon: Keep your head down and keep strollin’. We never got respect anyway so just keep pushing. You control your own destiny and they never gave Wisconsin respect and aren’t ever going to and you just need to feel like you have to go out there and get it, and we always have.

Gordon and his Chargers will be enjoying a bye week this week after a 3-5 start to the NFL season.  He currently ranks seventh in the entire league in rushing yards with 526 and second in the league with longest run from scrimmage this season (87). He also has four rushing touchdowns on the year, along with 30 receptions and four touchdowns on the receiving end.

With his new clothing collaboration with DraftKings, Gordon wants his fans, especially Badgers faithful, to be aware of his up-and-coming designs and styles.

“Tell my Wisconsin fans to come grab my shirt,” Gordon added.
