Miami Football: Preview, prediction, live stream vs. Virginia Tech in Week 10

Miami football takes on Virginia Tech in a game that is sure to have massive implications on the College Football Playoff race.

The Miami Hurricanes come in ranked No. 10 in the first release of the College Football Rankings. Be that as it may, Miami is coming off a close win against the North Carolina Tarheels last week 24-19. The Hurricanes have a brutal stretch of two weeks, with No. 3 Notre Dame the week after Virginia Tech.

Quarterback Malik Rosier comes in to this game with over 2,000 yards passing and 17 touchdowns against only four interceptions. Virginia Tech is hoping to climb into the College Football Playoff talk with a win in Miami. The only loss for the Hokies was against Clemson 31-17 nearly a month ago.

At any rate, this is gonna be a very interesting game to watch. Virginia Tech’s defense is stout, giving up only 11.5 points per game on defense. Miami is no slouch either, allowing just 18.7 points per game. The key to the game could be who wins the field position battle.

Also, freshman quarterback Josh Jackson is gonna get tested. Jackson can also run with the ball. He’s taken off for almost 200 yards on the ground. Ultimately, decision making is gonna be the challenge for this young quarterback in a hostile atmosphere.

Miami hasn’t been dominate in many games, with close wins against Georgia Tech and Syracuse at home. In contrast, the Hokies’ defense is gonna apply a lot of pressure all night long. In fact, the only way Miami can counterattack this, is by running the ball efficiently. By and large, the Hurricanes have overcome a lot this year. Ironically, the hurricane season has been brutal for the city of Miami. That being said, it’s hard to see the winning stretch continuing past this week.
