Arkansas football has had a rough season that got even more bleak when the Razorbacks won at home against Coastal Carolina. Is Bret Bielema done?

Congratulations Arkansas, you’ve finally won something – the title of worst win of college football’s Week 10. The season can’t end soon enough for Arkansas fans for two reasons. First off, the product that the Razorbacks have put on the field this season has been nearly unwatchable. Secondly the end of the season will likely mark the end of the Bret Bielema era at Arkansas.

To be fair, this isn’t the first time that Bielama has led the Hogs to an inexcusable performance against a vastly inferior team with the Razorbacks. In 2015 his team fell 16-12 to Toledo. That game took place at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. His most recent near-blunder took place at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. At the very least he made sure to display what bad football looks like at both of the Hogs’ home stadiums.

Arkansas 4-5 (1-4) finishes the season with three conference games against No. 19 LSU, No. 16 Mississippi State and Missouri. Saturday’s Week 10 game against the Chanticleers was the best chance the Razorbacks had to pick up another win this season. They just barely got it. Had it not been for a disastrous collapse by Ole Miss a week ago, this Arkansas team might have finished the year with wins over three FCS schools, and that’s it.

Florida sent shockwaves through the SEC when they became the first team in the conference to cut ties with their head coach. With Tennessee’s Butch Jones and Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin on the hot seat its got to be a matter of time before Arkansas makes a move as well. There are no prizes for second place in the college football arms race.
