1. Barrett takes two steps forward just to take three steps back

Last week senior quarterback J.T. Barrett has one of his best games of his career against Penn State. He was 33-for-39 passing for 328 yards (season high) with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also had 17 carries for 95 yards and a touchdown. He hit 16 straight passes in a row the help team overcome an 11 point deficit with less than five minutes remaining.

Fast forward to this week and boom Barrett had a hangover game. Iowa’s defense wasn’t playing around, but for as great as the senior played last week he played like a shell on himself this week.

Barrett finished the game 18-for-34 passing for 208 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions. He had 14 carries for 63 yards. It was a forgettable performance, both for Barrett and the Buckeyes. The Big Ten is running out of horses and Ohio State is both a culprit and a victim.
