3. Losing Shea Patterson doesn’t necessarily spell disaster for the Rebels

Coming into the season, Shea Patterson was the talk of the town in Oxford and rightfully so. However, since his injury junior Jordan Ta’amu has made quite a name for himself. He finished 31 of 40 for 382 yards and four touchdowns against the Wildcats on Saturday night in Lexington. Not too shabby for the second string quarterback.

Here is a play from his first start a week ago against Arkansas. The Rebels lost the game, but Ta’amu fought hard and as a result put up some impressive stats in that match up as well.

Of course, no Ole Miss fan is happy about losing Shea Patterson just like they aren’t too happy about losing the ability to play in the post season. However, they should be excited watching Jordan Ta’amu run and throw up and down the field as they finish out the last of the 2017 season.
