Stanford football could not find enough offense to beat Washington State on the road in Week 10. Here are three things we learned from the game.

It hasn’t always been pretty, but Stanford (6-2) has found a way to keep themselves in the thick of the Pac-12 North race. Since losing to USC and SDSU in back-to-back weeks the Cardinal brought a five game winning streak into Pullman on Saturday.

Washington State (7-2) was the latest victim of Khalil Tate and the Arizona Wildcats. They’ve been hot and cold over the last several weeks and haven’t had a game decided by less than 21 points since their Sept. 30 win over USC.

Here are three takeaways from Stanfords game against Washington in Week 10.

1. Luke Falk is very good, probably

Washington State’s Luke Falk is the school’s all-time leader in passing yards. Yet somehow he’s been benched this season, twice, including the game in which he broke that record. That’s a combination of Mike Leach having the guts/foolishness to pull the best passer in school history.

When he’s on his game, however, Falk has proven he’s one of the best passers in the country. Good Luke was on display on Saturday. He finished 34-of-48 for 337 yards, three touchdowns and one interception against the Cardinal.
