4. Texas Tech is reeling

Kliff Kingsbury looked to have completely saved his job at the beginning of the season with the Red Raiders sitting at 4-1 with wins over Arizona State and Houston and even a 46-point drubbing of Kansas. Texas Tech jumped to No. 24 in the AP Poll following that hot start, but it’s been all downhill ever since.

Texas Tech has lost four straight games, including three by double-digits. It hasn’t been the most memorable past four weeks for the Red Raiders and it seems to be wearing on this team’s confidence. That’s going to show against the hungry Bears on Saturday.

Baylor has been able to play well against teams with winning records this year and in games that the Bears aren’t even supposed to be in. Matt Rhule knows how to motivate his guys, even with nothing truly on the line at this point.

The Red Raiders have lost five of six and their confidence along with it. The defense during that time has been atrocious as well, giving up 40-plus in four of those defeats. The Bears could have an offensive breakout Saturday.
