Top-ranked teams fell all over the country as chaos struck once again in Week 11. Here are the three worst losses of the second weekend of November.

Another reshuffling of the rankings is in order after four of the top 12 teams in the country fell in Week 11. Not only did those teams lose, though, they lost in the worst possible ways. These weren’t merely defeats to fellow ranked opponents. Rather, they were embarrassing blowouts that made the vanquished parties look like anything but a team worthy of inclusion in any Top 25 poll or ranking.

The worst losses aren’t always those suffered by a high-ranked team. Virginia Tech came into the weekend as the No. 17 team in the country, and they fell to unranked Georgia Tech. But the Hokies had a shot to win the entire 60 minutes. This was not a mismatch, but rather a solid contest between two ACC schools in which the team with a number by its name happened to fall.

No, the three teams selected as the worst losses of Week 11 were picked because of the manner in which each lost. None had any real hope of emerging victorious at any point of the contest. And while sometimes a come-from-ahead defeat looks terrible, it isn’t always a shocker.

Take Colorado State’s fall in overtime to Boise State. The Rams held double-digit leads at various points of both the first and second halves. But the Broncos were favored by right around a touchdown, and the final result was hardly shocking.

The three worst losses of the week weren’t shocking because those teams lost. Instead, they were the worst losses because of the manner in which the defeat was inflicted. Keep reading to see which teams made the list after Week 11 play.
