2. Georgia beat a Mississippi State team that just gave Alabama fits

The Alabama Crimson Tide are now ranked No. 1 in the nation. This team struggled with Mississippi State and just barely squeaked by them. Georgia, on the other hand, handed Mississippi State a huge loss just a week after the Maroon and White blew past LSU.

Georgia beat Mississippi State 31-3. It wasn’t close. They threw off Nick Fitzgerald and held him out of the end zone, something that many teams including Alabama has struggled to do.

That win, along with a win over Notre Dame earlier in the season, has to be given its due thought. This team has big time wins and has stood up to adversity. One loss shouldn’t change that thought process in my opinion. Although the Bulldogs only beat Notre Dame by one point, it was a win and the Irish have been a big name in College Football this season.

Look for those wins to mean quite a bit down the stretch, especially if the Bulldogs pull of an SEC Championship.
