Indiana needs to win their last two games of the season to become bowl eligible. The Hoosiers face Rutgers this Saturday and are 11-point favorites.

Indiana has been close in several games this year, but came up short against Big Ten East foes Michigan, Michigan State and Maryland. In all three of those games, the Hoosiers lost by a touchdown or less. They were even in the game against Ohio State until late in the third quarter.

Rutgers is much improved in Chris Ash’s second year. The Scarlet Knights have won three conference games. While they still have a long way to go to compete with the big boys of the conference, they can hang with the middle of the conference and the teams at the bottom. Even though they are dogged by most, myself included, Rutgers will be in this game with the Hoosiers. Against Penn State last week, the Knights jumped out to a 6-0 lead and was controlling the clock until the Nittany Lions woke up and won running away.

Like Indiana, Rutgers can also become bowl eligible with two straight wins. Look for them to control the clock again this week and quite possibly, pull an upset in Bloomington.
