4. Notre Dame’s strength of schedule edges out that of Navy

In terms of strength of schedule, right now with an 8-2 record, Notre Dame sits at No. 8 in the nation. This season they have faced the likes of Georgia, Miami, USC, NC State and eventually Stanford. In contrast, Notre Dame will be the highest ranked team that Navy will see all year and it’s not even close. The only other ranked team the Midshipmen faced this season was UCF and they lost.

The experience that comes with playing such strong teams will likely work in Notre Dame’s favor on Sunday. While they are looking for a rebound win, they aren’t desperate for it and they know how to get it pretty easily. They simply need to play their game, the same one they played against the likes of Georgia earlier this season and they will be just fine as they head into the final weeks of the schedule looking for a New Years Six birth.

The Irish are in full control of their destiny and this is not new territory for them. Look for the Fighting Irish to take care of Navy easily on Saturday afternoon.
