3. Charles Oliver, Derrick Tucker and Daylon Mack show promise

Texas A&M has some serious holes to fill with guys like Armani Watts, Zaycoven Henderson and Jarrett Johnson graduating and headed to the NFL draft. However, young guns Derrick Tucker and Charles Oliver along with junior Daylon Mack showed some serious promise for Aggie fans. Tucker, who has been named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week had the game of his career to date.

He came into this game with 19 tackles to his name. He finished Saturday’s match up with Ole Miss with 14 tackles, two forced turnovers, two pass break ups and the pick six shown below. To say that he changed the game would be a serious understatement.

Charles Oliver recovered the forced fumble from Tucker as well as having the key pass break up on fourth down as the clock ticked away to end the game. Even better? He broke up a pass intended for former Texas A&M pledge Demarkus Lodge.

Daylon Mack filled in for the ejected Zaycoven Henderson after a questionable first half targeting call and to say he stepped up to the plate would be a severe understatement. The physicality and fight that Mack showed was extremely exciting for fans to watching seeing as much of the line will graduate and depart for the 2018 draft.
