College Football Playoff: Four teams who were snubbed by the committee

The Broncos have never been afraid to test themselves against the big boys. Boise State went to Washington State in the second week of the season and pushed the Cougars to three overtimes before falling by three. Two weeks later, they welcomed Virginia to Idaho.

Since that loss, the Broncos have won seven consecutive games, holding six of those opponents under 20 points. Their performances have been dominant, and they’re going to have a real chance at winning the Mountain West.

When compared to Central Florida, Boise State is a spot below. But the Broncos can bank on that close loss to Washington State, especially considering the Cougars are ranked 13th in the College Football Playoff field.
