2. Running back Benny Snell Jr. couldn’t carry the Kentucky offense

Kentucky has an offense. Sadly, the offense seemed lost on Saturday against Louisville in Lexington. Kentucky running back Benny Snell Jr, however, didn’t seem lost at all. He finished with two touchdowns and 211 yards against the Cardinals, making him the single season touchdown leader in Kentucky football history.

However, he couldn’t carry the whole team. Quarterback Stephen Johnson was no help and as a result, the Cardinals won big in Lexington.

Johnson just eclipsed 100 yards on the day and completed all of eight passes against Louisville. That was nowhere near enough to keep up with Lamar Jackson and company as the game wore on. Sophomore Benny Snell Jr. is a special player, don’t get me wrong. He finished the season with just over 1,100 yards. However, his offense was out gained 562 to 338. If Benny Snell Jr. wants to be successful for years to come, he better hope that his team recruits some more offensive weapons.

As it stands, however, Kentucky fans would be better off watching their basketball team because it doesn’t seem like the football program is going to be successful any time soon.
