Stanford football takes on the USC Trojans in the Pac-12 Championship game. Can David Shaw and Stanford play spoiler to the Trojans’ playoff hopes?

This game is a rematch from early in the year. Stanford went down to Pasadena and got beat down by the Trojans 42-24. Hopefully for the Cardinal faithful, the outcome will be a little different when the Trojans come up to Santa Clara.

Here are three bold predictions for the Stanford Cardinal in the Pac-12 Championship.

3. Bryce Love finishes with over 150 yards

Early in the season, Bryce Love had 150 yards after just rolling out of bed. In his first six games, he rushed for over 150 yards. His worst night in that span was at Utah when he only had 152 yards on 20 carries. Love is a beast and we learned that this year.

But lately, he hasn’t been as good. In his last five games, he only went over 150 once. At Washington State, he only had 69 yards rushing. The Stanford offense needs more. And I think, Love will prevail.

Love will show out for this game and rushed for over 150 yards. In the last matchup, he had a great night against the Trojan defense. In fact, he rushed for 160 yards and busted one run of 75 yards.

David Shaw needs to feed him as much as he can. He needs to see about 22 carries on championship night.

Note: Stanford has won every game this season when Love has 20 or more carries.
