2. Arkansas has plenty of talent left over

Bret Bielema didn’t exactly leave the cupboard bare down in Fayetteville and Chad Morris will soon find out just how much he has to work with when he gets to campus.

The defense could surely use some retooling, though, and that side of the ball might take a little time to fix. Morris had just the 122nd-ranked defense at SMU this season in his third year with the program, so that could be concerning for Razorback faithful.

However, Arkansas’ defense struggled not for lack of talent, but for lack of execution and poor coaching. Morris will need to find the right man to lead the defense and he can worry about the offense.

The offense shouldn’t need too much fixing, though. He is inheriting a team that has a rising star at quarterback in Cole Kelley, a strong running back in Devwah Whaley and the top three receivers and starting tight end are all returning. This team has plenty of talent and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Razorbacks at 7-8 wins in 2018.
