Since Fox has not signed officially with Stanford yet (originally committed on Dec. 20), the best wide receiver that’s offically signed in the class in four-star Chaminade product, Michael Wilson. At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Wilson has the size to become a solid outside receiver in this offense.

The return of junior wide receivers Trent Irwin and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside will make it tough for any freshman receivers to get a ton of targets. However, both Wilson and Fox are two of the most talented skill position players the Cardinal will have on offense.

California is a state that tends to be stocked full of top recruits. Wilson is the 30th best prospect out of California and the No. 41 ranked receiver in the nation. Yet, he has the size and leaping ability to go up and snatch balls from even some of the better and more experienced defensive backs in the Pac-12.

Shaw is the type of coach to explore all options on offense. Stanford will give some of their best young receivers a chance to make a name for themselves. Wilson has the maturity in his game to look the part of a more experienced wide receiver.
