2. Kenny Hill caught fire in the second half

There was a lot of pressure on Hill’s shoulders the entire season. He ultimately took the TCU offense far, and minimized the mistakes made compared to the 2016 campaign. However, he did throw two early picks that were very costly to the Frogs.

The response from Hill was strong, though, as he made two great plays in the second half that changed the pace of the game. A 93 yard touchdown pass to speedy freshman wide receiver Jalen Reagor put the Frogs in a position to tie the game. But, they did not convert the two-point try.

Hill also managed a touchdown on the ground. One of his touchdown passes came off a play that he was able to keep alive in the red zone. The other was a nice rushing touchdown, as he used his legs as a weapon in a big way in the second half.

When TCU’s offense is at its best, few defenses in the nation can stop it. Stanford has a quality defense and TCU gained some real momentum down the stretch. While Hill is on, the TCU offense comes alive around him, and a lot of people got to witness that.
