While head coach Dan Mullen begins his tenure at Florida, recruiting will be a big emphasis on how he can build a solid foundation.
Taking a look at the offensive line, Florida is in need of a big playmaker to come in his freshman year and make an instant impact. Look no further than five-star offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere. He would be a certified stud for Florida’s offensive line, and also a huge get for Dan Mullen and his staff.
During his senior season, Petit-Frere sky-rocketed through the rankings and earned many accolades including a invitation to the Under Armour All-American Game. His recruiting process has been intriguing to watch. It has been somewhat of a quiet process, but as of late, it seems to have picked up.
Going off what current sites are saying (247sports.com), he seems to be trending towards Florida. With National Signing Day approaching, Petit-Frere is currently scheduled to meet with Florida on Jan. 26 for a official visit.
The Tampa-native is a huge prospect that has the potential to be a future NFL first-round pick. At 6-foot-6, 272 pounds, Petit-Frere doesn’t have the typical weight of a offensive tackle. However, with a few seasons in the weight room with his frame he will easily be a complete offensive lineman.
Petit-Frere shows great technique and aggression when blocking opposing edge-rushers and defensive tackles. During his senior season, he finished with 93 pancakes blocks.

As said before, Petit-Frere’s recruitment so far has been quiet and he hasn’t been really vocal about his decision. With Alabama, Ohio State and Florida seeming to be his top three choices, I believe Florida has a legitimate shot.
