While head coach Dan Mullen begins his tenure at Florida, recruiting will be a big emphasis on how he can build a solid foundation.
After an impressive early National Signing Day, there’s a strong chance Florida finishes with a top-10 class come Feb. 7. Since the new staff has come in to evaluate and recruit other players there’s a new defensive back Florida has singled in on. Four-star defensive back Noah Boykin out of Washington D.C. has begun trending toward Florida as of late.
Although he’s committed to Maryland, Boykin recently visited Florida on Jan. 19. After visiting, there’s a feeling around the program that Boykin will be a Florida Gator.
At 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, the Washington D.C. native is a perfect fit in Florida’s aggressive defensive back play. Although Boykin is coming in at 170 pounds, he has a big frame that’ll be easy to add weight to.
Boykin is a lengthy aggressive DB that is best suited for the outside corner position. However if he could add the weight Boykin could also see time at safety. Boykin shows great footwork, awareness and instincts at the cornerback position.
However, with the depth in the secondary already, and two defensive backs already committed to the team, Boykin will have to put in the work this offseason if he wants to see the field.

After the visit Boykin had a interview with Adam Friedman from Rivals.com. During the interview Noah stated, “Everything at Florida went really well. I pretty much know where I’m going and everybody will see on signing day”. After reading reports from other sources I feel pretty confident Florida lands the talented stud come national signing day.
