Coming off a tough loss to Notre Dame, Stanford will head back to California looking for some answers. Although the loss won’t affect their conference record, it’s not out-of-bounds to wonder if that was the defeat that could ruin the season’s outlook.

Sitting at 3-2, the Cardinal will host Utah. The Utes have a strong team led by Tyler Huntley who was given the nod to start under center in 2017 over Troy Williams, somewhat surprisingly. He finished the season with over 2,400 yards, 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also rushed for 537 yards and six more scores.

Huntley is going to be the x-factor in this one. If the Cardinal are able to slow him down and contain him, they’ll have this one in the bag. That’s exactly what I expect from David Shaw’s team coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Fighting Irish.

The Bryce Love vs. Zack Moss duel in the backfield will be a fun one to watch as both will rush for over 100 yards as the former keeps his Heisman hopes very much alive.

Final Score: Utah 21, Stanford 31 (4-2, 2-1 Pac-12)
