Stanford Football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2018
There’s no doubt, Washington State will be playing a majority of its 2018 season with a heavy heart after losing Tyler Hilinski to an apparent suicide. He was found just a few weeks after the conclusion of his 2017 season where he started in place of Luke Falk in the Holiday Bowl and you could say that the Pullman community, along with college football, is still mourning his loss.

With no starting quarterback in place for 2018, the Cougars could be in major trouble. Mike Leach has done a solid job with the team, even making them Pac-12 contenders over the past couple of years, but the 2018 campaign won’t be quite as impressive.
Stanford is going to hold Washington State’s offense in check, under 350 total yards, and the Cardinal will finish with over 450 yards of their own. KJ Costello will pass for over 250 against a decent defense and Bryce Love will, once again, break 100.
Stanford is in the hunt for a Pac-12 title while the Cougars could be eliminated from contention after a loss to the Cardinal. Stanford will also be going bowling with this win.
Final Score: Washington State 17, Stanford 31 (6-2, 4-1 Pac-12)
