Florida has produced some very impressive cornerbacks over the years, including Teez Tabor and and Quincy Wilson just last cycle. That has to be attractive for young cornerbacks coming up through the high school ranks. If their goal is to make it to the NFL, Gainesville is a good place to be.

Noah Boykin realizes that and it’s why he’s almost a lock to pick the Florida Gators over Notre Dame on National Signing Day.

The four-star cornerback from Washington D.C. was committed to Maryland as recently as a week ago before taking an official visit to Florida. Five days later, he de-committed and all signs were already pointing to him becoming a Gator. That was his only official visit since the Maryland one back in December, so what else could have changed his mind?

Boykin is ranked the No. 291 recruit and 25th-best cornerback in the class, according to 247Sports. His other official visits were to USC and Notre Dame, but those happened back in November and October, respectively.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound corner holds over 30 offers, but Florida is likely to land him.
