Feleipe Franks is going to need some top-tier wide receivers in order for the Gators to trend back in the right direction. He struggled a bit in limited time during the 2017 season and it was because Jim McElwain didn’t show much confidence in him as the full-time starter.

That should all change in 2018 with Dan Mullen at the helm. He’s going to be the unquestioned starter to begin the year, or so it seems, and he’s going to need all the help he can get from his offensive line and receiving corps.

Jacob Copeland would be a welcomed addition. He stands just 6-foot-0 and weighs in at 192 pounds, but don’t let that slight frame fool you: he’s a killer on the field. He’s extremely fast, runs tight routes, is tough to stay in front of and difficult to bring down in the open field.

Florida isn’t the only potential suitor for the Pensacola, Fla., native. He’s also being courted by Alabama, Tennessee and Texas A&M. However, Florida is the overwhelming favorite to land him.

Copeland is listed as the No. 69 prospect in the class and the 12th-best receiver, according to 247Sports. He could play right away.
