1. Need for adding offensive lineman

Stanford does not lose much along the offensive line after the 2017 campaign. However, this team is built around a strong offensive line and a gashing ground attack. Without an injection of potent freshmen along the line, Stanford could start to regress in that area.

At this moment, the Cardinal only has one lineman committed. There’s a few targets to keep in mind that Stanford could add during the festivities on NSD. Three-star guard Josh McCulloch and underrated center Nicholas Sligh are two potential signees for the Cardinal.

Another question that is already being asked around Palo Alto is who takes over after Love. Even though Love was seamlessly able to take over the running back spotlight after the departure of Christian McCaffrey does not mean the same thing will happen two times in a row.

Three-star running back Justus Woods does have the opportunity to get some playing time in 2018. His ceiling does not look as high as Love’s, though. Stanford could also use the addition of another running back in this class. Offensive line should be the main target.
