National Signing Day started out with a bang for Texas A&M, with four-star defensive tackle Bobby Brown getting stolen away from the Aggies SEC West foe Alabama Crimson Tide. Any time you can peel away a key defensive prospect from Nick Saban, you’ve done something right.

There’s a plethora of four-star signees in this class, but Brown stands out as possibly the best defensive lineman of the group. At 6-foot-4 and 282 pounds, Brown does not need to up his size too much to be ready to take on the SEC trenches in his freshman year.

Brown also has the athleticism required to excel against SEC West ground games. The Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, LSU Tigers, etc., always seem to have running games among the best in the nation without skipping a beat.

If Fisher decides to give some of this impressive recruiting class some early playing time, Brown is one that should excel no matter the opponent. Any prospect that Saban is sad to see go is likely to have a successful college career.
